Pooly Art is the collaborative artistic efforts of the husband-and-wife team Julie & Richard Pooly. Both artists came to find their love of painting in different ways. They have finally decided to share their works with the rest of the world (Lord, help us all!).
Julie Pooly was raised by a single mother in the 1980’s. She found her love of art through school trips to local museums and began painting after she finished school and raised her three children with Richard. Richard was exposed to art at a young age as his grandmother and parents would often take him to different museums, to keep him active. Richard did have some formal training in the arts, but his original passion was photography. He made the conversion to painting as Pooly puts it, “as part of his mid-life crisis.”
Together they work side by side creating different pieces for themselves and to share with the public.
